Weiskotten Hall - 4th FL DLAR & 2nd FL Renovation
Description:
SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking requests for qualifications from firms that have an extensive background in commissioning services in research institutions. The projects requiring commissioning include renovations of offices and research spaces and installation of new HVAC equipment at Weiskotten Hall at SUNY Upstate’s campus in Syracuse, NY.
Scope of Service:
1) Become familiar with design drawings and submittals and provide comments
2) Inspections to ensure that contractors have installed, tested and functionally tested the equipment listed in the contract specifications, consistent with OEM procedures and instructions.
3) Development of a commissioning plan for the testing and acceptance of MEP systems ranging from fire dampers, chillers, heat exchangers, air handlers, lighting, etc.
4) Oversee transition from construction to operation
5) Ensure that O&M documentation left on-site is complete
6) Provide weekly progress reports
7) Provide monthly and seasonal summation of progress
8) Provide system inspection reports
Qualifications:
Head Commissioning Professional must be a Certified Commissioning Professional by the Building Commissioning Association. LEED Certified Field personnel should have facility operations experience, preferably in a research facility. The firm and staff assigned to these projects should have approximately 5 – 10 years experience in commissioning experience.
